Future Chef Competition

Attention all undiscovered cooking superstars...

It’s time for Sodexo’s Annual Future Chef Competition!

Breakfast is known to be the most important meal of the day.  And in 2012, the Sodexo Annual Future Chef Competition invites middle school students to submit healthy breakfast recipes.

We’re sure that all contestants will create memorable and delicious ways to get the day off to a great start.  Judging will be based on:

  • Originality
  • Kid-Friendly Style
  • Ease of Preparation
  • Best Use of Featured Ingredients
  • Healthy Attributes
  • Plate Presentation

The winners from individual school districts will advance to compete in the state, regional, and perhaps even national competitions.  Finalists will do battle in cook-offs held in Rhode Island’s Sodexo-partnered school districts throughout February and March.  They will prepare their healthy breakfast recipes for panels of esteemed judges.

Sodexo’s Annual Future Chef Competition is a major part of our commitment to Student Well-Being.  At the end of the day, students who compete in the Competition – and all of the friends and families – will have learned a great deal about how to make good food choices and develop healthy eating habits.
And who knows?  In the process, we just might discover the next Giada De Laurentiis and Emeril Lagasse!
